God is Using Me To

Motivate Others

Encouraging all members of the Body of Christ to perform the individual functions for which God has equipped them.

Many Americans were convinced that the loss of Washington would be the ultimate disaster. In December 1777 Lafayette conveyed to Washington his deepest fears, writing, "If you were lost for America, there is nobody who could keep the army and the revolution for six months."30 And the Reverend Jacob Duché, a Philadelphia cleric, wrote, "The whole world knows that [the army's] only existence depends upon you; that your death or captivity disperses it in a moment, and that there is not a man...in America capable of succeeding you."31

Washington's courage, shown repeatedly and dramatically throughout the war, had a strong inspiriting effect on his army. With this quality of his character he not only motivated his men during earlier battles but also led them to victory in the all-important siege of Yorktown.

I successfully encourage others to do the Work of Kingdom Service. I am benefited by their work. I give them generous credit for their accomplishments. I give elders double honor, thereby encouraging them to be motivators as well.

The LORD is increasing the size of my household, and I am motivating my servants for Godliness.

I inspire others to greatness.

I am becoming more and more skilled at exciting others about their calling.

My friends know me to be reassuring.

My family sees me becoming more and more cheerful.

My invigorating habits are an asset to my community.

Those I work with are delighted that I am a boost to their own work.

I am not afraid to be giving and supportive in a culture which is competitive and selfish. I do not "win" by making others lose, but by helping all people to become more productive and attain their goals. My desire to enhearten and edify others pleases God and helps build His Kingdom.

I am committed to becoming more and more helpful.

People around me can depend on me for a shot in the arm or a pat on the back.

The Spirit empowers me to stimulate others.

I often think about how I can rally God's people to holiness.

I provoke others to good works.

My spirit reverberates with buoyancy.

I can tolerate those who are fearful and destructive of themselves and others. I patiently comfort and exhort them to become all that God created them to be, but I am sensitive to the Spirit beckoning me away from them if they are resistant. I will not be dragged down by self-destructive people, sucked into "pity parties," and sucked dry by selfish parasites.

I have a natural affinity with those who build others up.

My conscience knows the value of commending others.

Inspiring others is a real passion with me.

These words resonate in my being; God's Word empowers me to empower others:

  • boost
  • rally
  • invigorate

In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.
-- Ephesians 1:11-12

This book of the Law shall not depart out of thy mouth: but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
-- Joshua 1:8

This isn't that New Age "Positive Thinking" stuff, is it??
