Personalism
"Pure religion" is keeping myself unspotted from the
world (James 1:27).
I know what God expects from me, and I do it. I know what others
expect from me, and I do it, because God expects it of me.
God has predestined both the ends and the means. I am the
means.
I do not wait for my old man to
die; I actively put him to death.
I will not wait for the world to save itself.
I will not stand by and accept evil.
I give my life as Christ gave His.
I expend energy to extend His Kingdom.
Pure religion is no spectator sport.
And we know that all things work together for good to those
who love God, to those who are the called according to His
