Notes and Summary of the President's Address:
Health Care and Energy
Fascism: Industry-run Government

The White House Press Office: This week the President discusses breakthroughs on two issues where stakeholders from all sides, who once opposed each other, are coming together for real reform. On health care and energy, solutions would provide key pillars for a new foundation for the country.  (continued below)

How the President Differs from the American vision of "Liberty Under God":

The Constitution created a federal government with very limited powers, bound down by the "chains of the constitution." The Bush-Obama Regime believes it has vast, unlimited powers to bring salvation.

  • America was founded on the philosophy of "Liberty Under God."
    • "Liberty" means freedom from government suppression of ideas and confiscation of wealth
    • "Under God" means we have a personal responsibility to love God and neighbor.
  • The original American Dream: Everyone dwelling safely under his own Vine & Fig Tree
    • Human beings are endowed with the right to property by God, not the government.
  • The Constitution created a federal government of very limited power and few functions.
  • Most politicians who take an oath to "support the Constitution" are ignorant of its most basic assumptions.
    • The federal government only has the powers granted to it -- "enumerated" -- in the Constitution.
    • The "General Welfare" clause is no exception to this principle.
    • "States Rights" -- most government should be carried out on a local level.
  • America was founded as a "City upon a Hill," a Christian nation from which the Gospel would be promoted around the world.
  • America's Founders spoke of this as "an Experiment in Liberty" (1787-1887)
    • The "experiment" was a success: a Free Market made America the most prosperous and admired nation in history
  • In the 20th century, the experiment in liberty was replaced with another experiment: an experiment in central planning
  • The original American dream of personal, private ownership, has been replaced with private indebtedness and public control.
  • "No Taxation Without Representation" - a rallying cry of the American Revolution.
  • Taxation is a relatively unimportant federal revenue generator. The fed now creates money out of thin air
  • This money-creation system is immoral and unconstitutional. It steals from the poor and elderly.
  • America's Founding Fathers would conclude that The First Amendment had been repealed
    • There is no freedom of religion: the U.S. is officially atheistic.
    • There is no freedom of the press: the media is the lapdog of "the Establishment."
  • The Invisible Hand of the Free Market works better than the Visible Fist of Government

President Obama's
Saturday Morning Radio Address

Another Perspective:
"
Liberty Under God"

Good morning. Over the past few months, as we have put in place a plan to speed our economic recovery, I have spoken repeatedly of the need to lay a new foundation for lasting prosperity; a foundation that will support good jobs and rising incomes; a foundation for economic growth where we no longer rely on excessive debt and reckless risk – but instead on skilled workers and sound investments to lead the world in the industries of the 21st century. America's original foundation made America the most prosperous and admired nation in history. The government just needs to follow the blueprint.

Obama's "new" foundation is socialism, which will bring about none of these stated objectives.

Two pillars of this new foundation are clean energy and health care. And while there remains a great deal of difficult work ahead, I am heartened by what we have seen these past few days: a willingness of those with different points of view and disparate interests to come together around common goals – to embrace a shared sense of responsibility and make historic progress. "clean energy" = environmentalism
"health care" = socialism.

"progress" toward what

Chairman Henry Waxman and members of the Energy and Commerce Committee brought together stakeholders from all corners of the country – and every sector of our economy – to reach an historic agreement on comprehensive energy legislation. It’s another promising sign of progress, as longtime opponents are sitting together, at the same table, to help solve one of America’s most serious challenges. What is a "stakeholder?" No President ever used this word before the Clinton Administration.
For the first time, utility companies and corporate leaders are joining, not opposing, environmental advocates and labor leaders to create a new system of clean energy initiatives that will help unleash a new era of growth and prosperity. Not all corporate leaders. Nuclear power corporations are not favored. Some corporate leaders are orchestrating government policy. This is called "facsism."
It’s a plan that will finally reduce our dangerous dependence on foreign oil and cap the carbon pollution that threatens our health and our climate. Most important, it’s a plan that will trigger the creation of millions of new jobs for Americans, who will produce the wind turbines and solar panels and develop the alternative fuels to power the future. Because this we know: the nation that leads in 21st century clean energy is the nation that will lead the 21st century global economy. America can and must be that nation – and this agreement is a major step toward this goal. We do not need to become "independent" of  foreign oil.
But we know that our families, our economy, and our nation itself will not succeed in the 21st century if we continue to be held down by the weight of rapidly rising health care costs and a broken health care system. That’s why I met with representatives of insurance and drug companies, doctors and hospitals, and labor unions who are pledging to do their part to reduce health care costs. These are some of the groups who have been among the fiercest critics of past comprehensive health care reform plans. But today they too are recognizing that we must act. Our businesses will not be able to compete; our families will not be able to save or spend; our budgets will remain unsustainable unless we get health care costs under control.
These groups have pledged to do their part to reduce the annual health care spending growth rate by 1.5 percentage points. Coupled with comprehensive reform, their efforts could help to save our nation more than $2 trillion in the next ten years – and save hardworking families $2,500 each in the coming years.
This week, I also invited Speaker of House Nancy Pelosi, Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, and other congressional leaders to the White House to discuss comprehensive health reform legislation. The House is working to pass a bill by the end of July – before they head out for their August recess. That’s the kind of urgency and determination we need to achieve comprehensive reform by the end of this year. And the reductions in spending the health care community has pledged will help make this reform possible.
I have always believed that it is better to talk than not to talk; that it is far more productive to reach over a divide than to shake your fist across it. This has been an alien notion in Washington for far too long, but we are seeing that the ways of Washington are beginning to change. For the calling of this moment is too loud and too urgent to ignore. Our success as a nation – the future of our children and grandchildren – depends upon our willingness to cast aside old arguments, overcome stubborn divisions, and march forward as one people and one nation.
This is how progress has always been made. This is how a new foundation will be built. We cannot assume that interests will always align, or that fragile partnerships will not fray. There will be setbacks. There will be difficult days. But we are off to a good start. And I am confident that we will – in the weeks, months, and years ahead – build on what we have already achieved and lay this foundation which will not only bring about prosperity for this generation, but for generations to come.
Thanks so much.

Kevin Craig's Platform:

  • "Vine & Fig Tree" - the original American Dream - work, profit, save, invest, enjoy, pass on to next generation.
  • Not "easy to borrow," perpetual debt;
  • Not "invade other nations" to secure our own wealth.
  • Taxes take over half of everything we earn during our lifetime.
  • Social Security is an unethical ponzi scheme which prevents one generation from passing on a nice nest egg to the next.
  • Every American could be born with a comfortable inheritance for education, a first home, or medical care; instead, every American is born in great debt.
  • Washington D.C. plans increase debt, do not create the "Vine & Fig Tree" life.
  • No more Bailouts
  • No more inflation, no more paper money.
  • No more wasteful government spending. (Or do I repeat myself?)
  • Limit government to the size prescribed by the Constitution:

The Message of Christmas and the Principles set forth by the Christ (the Messiah) who came that first Christmas are the real solution to America's problems. The Federal Government is at war with Christmas and "The Way of Peace" announced by the Prince of Peace.

No longer a Christian nation, American courts routinely release the guilty and condemn the innocent.

How Bush's grandfather helped Hitler's rise to power

Luke 3:23-38
Jesus was a descendant of Abraham.
All those who submit to Jesus as the Messiah (the rightful king of the earth) inherit the promises made to Abraham
Those who reject the Messiah do not inherit the promises made to Abraham, even though Bush defends their right to do so.
Luke 1:5-25
John the Baptist prepares the way for the Messiah, as prophesied of Elijah.
As you read the Gospel accounts, ask yourself how you would react if you knew these accounts were really true. Not just true in some "religious" sense, but reported in the New York Times, proven in a court of law, or acknowledged by your personal hero.  (How do you know something is true? Do you even have any "heroes?") How should you change your life if your Creator became a human being? How should Washington D.C. react if this human being claimed to be the true Ruler?
Luke 1:26-38
The Angel Gabriel announces the conception of the Messiah, who will be given the throne of David.

The Bush Administration thinks it brings salvation.

Obama thinks he is Immanuel.

Luke 2:1-7
The Prophet Micah predicted that the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem. Jesus' parents lived in Nazereth. Therefore God predestined Caesar to issue a decree (probably relating to taxes) that would bring Joseph and Mary to Bethlehem before Jesus was born.
Bush claims the same global power of confiscation and migration as Caesar did. Thousands of Christians have been forced to move out of Iraq to make way for Bush's Islamic Theocracy.
Luke 2:8-14
An army of angels announces the birth of the Messiah, saying,
“Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace to those with whom He is pleased!”
Man's chief end is to glorify God and live in peace. The Bush Administration's chief end is to erect a "wall of separation" between God and government so that the State gives no glory to God, and to wage war, thereby "stimulating the economy."
Luke 2:15-20
“Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds.”
Washington D.C. isn't listening.

Is Barack Obama the Messiah?

Luke 2:36-38
Anna the Prophetess is another well-known Godly person who acknowledges that Jesus is the Child promised by the prophets.
Where is the Anna of our day who tells us we can trust Washington D.C. to bring salvation?
Matthew 2:1-8
"Wise men from the East" knew of Micah's prophecy that the King of the Jews would be born in Bethlehem.
Are there any wise men around the world who place their confidence in George Bush, Henry Paulson, Paul Krugman, or Barack Obama?
Matthew 2:9-12
The kings from the east present the Messiah with "gold, frankincense, and myrrh."
Rather than bestowing wealth on the King, Obama-Bush confiscates the wealth of others.
Matthew 2:13-18
When Herod got word of the birth of a rival king, he behaved in a perfectly logical way (for someone who wants to protect his power):  he massacred all male babies the age of Jesus. Herod recognized that Jesus was a threat to Herod's power.
Every day in America 4,000 unborn babies are murdered. These babies must threaten something.

Millions of Americans who call themselves Christians, on the other hand, are no threat to tyranny. None of them are being killed. Bush has killed a thousand times more human beings than Herod did, and confiscated a billion times more wealth than Herod did.

The Republican Party Radio Address:

Response of the Republican Party
Saturday Morning Radio Address

Republican Radio Address by Louisiana Congressman Charles Boustany (OVTH transcript)
"Hello I'm Charles Boustany, a doctor and member of the house Republican healthcare solutions group.
We all know that in this troubled economy American families are increasingly worried about their health care. In my home of Louisiana. I hear constantly from families and small businesses about rising costs and fears of losing coverage. And as a physician I saw this firsthand.
Let me be clear. Republicans want to work with President Obama and other Democrats to ensure that every American has access to affordable high quality health coverage. Despite our differences, on some important health care related issues, we're convinced that there are areas offering potential for common ground on health care reform among the two parties. We believe we must make quality health care coverage affordable and accessible for every American regardless of preexisting health conditions. What does it mean to "ensure" that a person who would rather spend his money on pay-per-view wrestling instead of health care should still have "access" to high quality coverage? The vast majority of people who do not have health insurance have voluntarily chosen to allocate their money elsewhere. Why should government override their decisions?

Can government make diamonds and caviar "affordable and accessible for every American?" Why does health care operate under different economic law than any other commodity or service?

President Obama has called for a plan that puts us on a clear path to cover all Americans. And said no American should be denied coverage because of preexisting conditions. Republicans agree.
We believe health care reform must let Americans who like their health care coverage keep it, and give all Americans the freedom to choose the health care plan that best meets their families' needs.
The president has said Americans should have the option of keeping their employer-based health plan and said reform should provide Americans a choice of health plans and physicians. Republicans agree.
We believe health care reform must improve Americans' lives through effective prevention, wellness, and disease-management programs, while developing new treatments and cures for life threatening diseases, and respecting the values of human life. Americans had all of these things to a greater degree than any other nation in the world BEFORE government began "reforming" health care.

Government, by definition, does not respect human life.

The president has said health care reform must address cost drivers in our system, such as obesity, sedentary lifestyles, and smoking. Republicans agree. How does the government address "sedentary lifestyles" -- which can only mean forcing Americans to exercise, or something like that -- without violating the 13th Amendment (against slavery)?
We believe it's possible and necessary to achieve these objectives through common sense reforms without raising taxes, rationing care, eliminating employer-sponsored health benefits for working families, empowering government bureaucrats at the expense of patients and doctors, or adding even more to our ever-growing national debt. Why should employers be in charge of health care? You don't need doctors if you can't get food: shouldn't employers tell their employees what to eat, and where to get food?
At the same time Republicans are concerned about news reports indicating that some Democrats favor a policy called a "government" or "public" option. We need to be clear about what this means.
From my former practice I know allowing the government to replace the health coverage that more than 100 million Americans currently have through their jobs could have devastating consequences. Government takeover of health care will put bureaucrats in charge of health care decisions. That should be made by families and doctors. It will limit treatment options and lead to rationed care. "Another tax on employment comes in the form of mandatory provisions of health insurance for firms of a certain size and employment of a certain time. With the costs of health care having risen beyond belief, this is a serious impediment to hiring. Employees tend to think of health insurance as a free benefit or even a right, but this is an illusion. The money paid comes out of the paycheck. Almost all employees would be better off arranging for their own private medical insurance or taking the risk upon themselves. The new demand for individual provision would make the market for health insurance more competitive and bring down prices. It would also increase the incentive of people to take better care of themselves, since the perception of 'free' health care creates a moral hazard."
Lew Rockwell, Lower Labor Costs Now!, Mises Institute
And to pay for government health care your taxes will be raised. That is something we cannot support and frankly it would clearly violate some of the principles the president himself has endorsed.
That having been said, I want to reiterate Republicans sincere desire to work with President Obama and Democrats to find common ground on the issue of health care reform. Despite our differences we're convinced there are areas of common sense agreement on health care reform among Republicans and Democrats.
This issue is just too important to let partisanship or blind ideology get in the way. Let's all work together to do the right thing for the American people.
Thank you for listening."

What Would America's Founding Fathers Do?

The men who threw tea into the Boston Harbor over a tax of 3 pence per pound would not be happy with a tax ten times greater on every gallon of gas. Those who took up muskets over a total tax burden of less than 3% would not be happy with the fact that the federal government now takes more than half of everything you earn.

Today it is illegal for public school teachers to teach their students that the Declaration of Independence is really true (and not just an outdated historical document). The federal government is clearly at war with everything the Founding Fathers stood for.

America's greatest Americans would abolish today's federal government.

Muskets are Not an Option

There are two reasons why we should not take up arms to pull off the violent overthrow of the federal government, even if America's Founders would surely do so. First, the feds have nukes. Second, violent revolution is unChristian and unBiblical. We must beat our swords into plowshares and use persuasion to abolish tyranny. This is time for a revolution of ideas.

Revolution Won't Come in a Day

John Adams once wrote that the American Revolution began in 1761, when Massachusetts attorney James Otis began legal challenges to the Writs of Assistance. He lost the case, but "American independence," Adams wrote, "was then and there born." Now do the math. That means it took 15 years to convince the rest of America to declare Independence (1776). Then another seven years of war was required before a Peace Treaty was signed (1783), and then six years before the Constitution was finally ratified (1789). That's almost 30 years. (And Jefferson said we shouldn't go 20 years without another rebellion!) How can we hope to convince Americans to fight for principles they were never taught in government schools? We need to be in this battle for the long term. "Eternal Vigilance is the Price of Liberty."
