I am not afraid
We're looking for a few brave Americans to start a real war on terror — by not being afraid! Do you have what it takes?

Support an Iraq Referendum
Americans keep debating when, how, or if to leave Iraq. Maybe we should ask the Iraqi people what they want. After all, it's their country. Tell Congress to request that the Iraqi government hold a public referendum on the U.S. occupation.

Make Congress Read Their Bills Before Voting
Make Congress read every word of every bill they create before they vote on it.
Urge your Representative and your Senators to sponsor DownsizeDC.org's “Read the Bills Act” (RTBA).

Make Congress pass DownsizeDC.org's “One Subject at a Time Act”
Most Americans probably believe a bill has to have majority support in Congress before it can become the law of the land. Sadly, this common sense expectation is totally wrong. Congressional leaders routinely pass laws that a majority opposes. DownsizeDC.org believes every bill should have to stand or fall on its own merits. Toward this end we have crafted the “One Subject at a Time Act” (OSTA).

End Bureaucratic "Legislation without Representation" with the "Write the Laws Act"
Unelected bureaucrats create tens-of-thousands of new dictates each year. Making rules is the job of Congress, not bureaucrats.
DownsizeDC.org has drafted the “Write the Laws Act” to end bureaucratic “legislation without representation."

Bring John Shadegg's 'Enumerated Powers Act' to a Vote
It's time for Congress to, "Cite it, chapter and verse." Where do they derive their authority? When they pass new laws or spend taxpayer money, they should be required to point to specific language in the Constitution. The Enumerated Powers Act would require them to do precisely that. Help us bring this bill to a vote.

Federal deficit causes Congressional pay cut
Congress needs incentives to Downsize DC. H.R. 500 would provide such an incentive. If the federal government runs a deficit, then Congress will suffer a cut in pay. Tell your elected representatives to sponsor H.R. 500.

Support Ron Paul's "American Freedom Agenda Act"
The politicians have done great harm to this country in response to the 9-11 attack. A bill has been introduced that will undo much of that harm.

Repeal the REAL ID Act
On May 10, 2005 Congress passed the REAL ID Act. This law imposes a national identification system on the American people for the first time. We are promised increased security in return. This is an illusion. The larger government becomes the less competent it becomes. And the more power it has, the more it abuses that power.

THE BIG ISSUE: $53 trillion in unfunded liabilities
The Federal government owes $53.3 trillion in future obligations that it has no ability to pay. The Government Accountability Office has sounded the alarm, but neither the politicians nor the American people are listening. We need to make them listen, and take action.

Federal Health Care Monopoly... First Do No Harm
Government policies have crippled American health care. This crippling has then been used as a justification for creating government crutches. And these crutches have caused our health care system to atrophy still further. The trend is not good. We must attack this problem from a number of angles, starting with preventing the federal government monopoly of health care.

Get a Tax Refund for your Health Care Expenses
Would you like to get a refund on your taxes for every dollar you spend on health care, including insurance premiums? Would you like to pay less for health insurance, while having more and more money to fund your own health care? Would you like to see health care expenses go down, while quality improves?

The Accountability Project: Investigate Wasteful Spending in Iraq
Big government prospers through failure. Each new failure is used to justify more spending and new powers. Wasteful spending in Iraq is the latest example. One way to change this is to hold government accountable. A new bill in Congress seeks to provide some of the needed accountability. Please support it.

Stop the War FOR Terror
U.S. policy has inflamed the Middle East. It has made terrorism more likely rather than less. We seem to be fighting a war for terror, rather than on terror. This policy must stop. The place to start stopping is with Iran. We must not attack Iran. War with Iran would devastate our economy, disrupt world oil supplies, and recruit more terrorists.

"Cap and Trade" is not the way
The politicians seem to be unifying around "cap and trade" as a way to cut CO2 emissions. If they take this step it may be the largest increase in the size, scope, and intrusiveness of government since the creation of Medicare. Worse still, it may not even achieve its purpose. Please tell Congress to oppose "cap and trade."

End the Inflation Tax
Inflation is a tax -- a hidden method government uses to pay its bills, and to transfer wealth from you to others. But imagine living in a world without inflation, and the recessions, bubbles, booms, and busts inflation causes. Imagine living in a world where your money buys more and more instead of less and less.

End the Ethanol Scam
We can lower food and fuel prices while also helping the environment. All we have to do is end the federal government's corporate welfare scam for the production of ethanol.

Agriculture Department Imposing New Program to Drive Family Farms Out of Business
The U.S. Department of Agriculture is busy implementing the National Animal Identification System (NAIS), a corporate welfare program for Agribusiness and surveillance technology companies. NAIS will drive family farms out of business, raise the price of your food, and increase red tape in nightmarish proportions.
