Congressional Issues 2012
ENVIRONMENT
Carbon Credits

Congress should:
  • reject all carbon credit plans
  • eliminate all environmentalist restrictions on the production and consumption of energy

Most scientists agree that the earth has experienced global warming in the past, and there is no evidence that the results were catastrophic.

Most scientists agree that shutting down industrial civilization in order to cut greenhouse gas emissions would lead to poverty and death for hundreds of millions, if not billions of human beings.

The architects of the environmental movement, who believe human beings are a "virus" and "cancer" on the earth, consider the extermination of hundreds of millions of people to be an advantage, not a problem.

"Carbon credits" is a way for the government to limit human freedom and make money at the same time. It is designed to prevent one harm (global warming) while creating even greater harms.
