God is Helping Me

Persevere

Admitting my own weaknesses and drawing on the inexhaustible resources of God to complete the task that God created me to do.

To persist in any business or enterprise undertaken; to pursue steadily any design or course commenced; not to give over or abandon what is undertaken.

Webster's 1st ed., 1828

I am easily able to persevere and finish any task I undertake; the same Spirit which created and sustains the universe indwells me and empowers me to perform the task the LORD has given me.

I am able to continue in a project day after day -- day in, day out; the rising of the sun each morning and the setting each evening is daily evidence of God's Covenant. The infinite variety which He has created is a source of vitality and encouragement over "the long haul."

I am steadfast.

I am becoming more and more persistent.

My parents wanted me to be diligent, and my perseverance is an honor to their desires.

My friends know me to be zealous but patient.

My family sees me becoming more and more tenacious.

My parents are proud of my dedication.

My stamina is an asset to my community.

Those I work with are delighted that I am becoming more and more resolute.

I am not afraid to be consistent and devoted in a culture that is undisciplined and flighty.

My desire to abide and be a survivalist pleases God, Who has called me out to me a part of the Remnant.

I am committed to developing more and more endurance.

People around me can depend on me to be a model of fortitude.

The Spirit empowers me to be resilient.

I often think about how I can be more determined.

I appreciate backbone.

My spirit reverberates with persistence.

My conscience knows the value of sticking to it.

I have a natural affinity with commitment. Finishing the race is a real passion with me.

These words resonate in my being; I study them and learn:

  • determined
  • sedulous
  • resilient.

just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,
-- Ephesians 1:4-5

Let the proud be ashamed; for they dealt perversely with me without a cause: but I will meditate in thy precepts.
-- Psalms 119:78

This isn't that New Age "Positive Thinking" stuff, is it??
