ECONOMY
The Masters of the Universe

Congress should:
  • not let "The Masters of the Universe" dictate U.S. economic policies
  • not delegate constitutional authority to unelected "Masters of the Universe" who temporarily occupy the office of Secretary of the Treasury, or any other bureaucracy.

The "Masters of the Universe" refers to Wall Street investment bankers, a phrase coined by Tom Wolfe. Often these bankers occupy positions of power in Washington D.C., such as Clinton's Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin, and Bush Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, both from Goldman Sachs.

We are no longer under the system of "representative democracy" described in the Constitution.
