Liberty Under God
IS THE SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM OF
Poverty

Congress should stop supporting poverty and start supporting wealth creation by:
  • Abolishing the Federal Department of Education
  • Abolishing federal minimum wage laws
  • Abolishing federal licensing laws
  • Cutting legal and financial support of unions
  • Abolishing the federal welfare system

80 years ago, there was still government-enforced segregation and racial discrimination, but there was not a big problem of black illiteracy, black unemployment, black poverty, and black violence.

45 years ago the government ostensibly ended segregation, and ostensibly began a "War on Poverty."

While the U.S. government is losing its "War on Poverty," the rest of the world, by embracing liberty and private property, is winning the war on poverty.
Extreme Poverty Worldwide Has Plummeted as Market Economics Has Spread

After 50 Years, The Government Has Lost the War on Poverty

Nearly 30 years ago, this "War on Poverty" was analyzed by Prof. Walter E. Williams. He found that the government is the cause of black illiteracy, black unemployment, black poverty, and black violence.

The answer, of course, is not to return to government-enforced segregation, but to abolish the government's terrible "War on Poverty," as well as government experimentation in education, labor, and welfare.
