Liberty Under God
BRINGS CLARITY TO THE ISSUE OF
Stem Cell Research

Congress should
  • not support embryonic stem cell research
  • not appropriate funds for any scientific research whatsoever

Scientific research is usually a good thing. But Congress only has authority to do those things which are enumerated in the Constitution. Since the Constitution does not give Congress the authority to spend tax dollars on scientific research, no federal funds should be appropriated for any stem cell research of any kind. Such appropriations turn out to be payback for special interests, not legislation for the "general welfare."

There are two kinds of stem cell research:
• adult
• embryonic
Embryonic stem cell research requires the murder of a human being in embryonic form. Adult stem cell research does not require the killing of an adult. Embryonic stem cell research is murder, and should not be practiced, much less federally funded.

All the cures that have resulted from stem cell research have resulted from adult stem cell research. The murder of human beings in embryonic form has resulted in zero cures. Why should the most ineffective form of research be funded with your tax dollars?

The push for embryonic stem cell research is an attack on Christian morality, and a back-handed push for abortion, euthanasia, genocide, and other forms of the taking of human life.
