Address:
As the Combat Mission in Iraq Ends, We Must Pay
Tribute to Those Who Have Served
The
White House Press Office: – In this week’s address,
President Obama pledged to uphold the sacred trust the nation has with
its troops and veterans as the combat mission in Iraq comes to an
end. The administration is building a 21st century VA, making it
easier for veterans with PTSD to receive the benefits they need,
funding and implementing a Post-9/11 GI Bill, and devoting new
resources to job training and placement to help those veterans looking
for work in a tough economy. The President also encouraged
Americans who want to send our troops and veterans a message of thanks
to visit www.whitehouse.gov
and upload a message (continued below)
The federal government only has the powers granted to it --
"enumerated" -- in the
Constitution.
The "General Welfare" clause is no
exception to this principle.
"States Rights" --
most government should be carried out on a local level.
The Constitution created a federal government with
very limited powers, bound down by
the "chains of the constitution."
The Bush-Obama Regime believes it has vast, unlimited powers to
cure all diseases, fund all causes, and bring salvation.
From this aspect, therefore, the whole of economics can be
reduced to a single lesson, and that lesson can be reduced to
a single sentence. The art of economics consists in
looking not merely at the immediate but at the longer effects
of any act or policy; it consists in tracing the consequences
of that policy not merely for one group but for all groups.
These are the reasons given by Osama bin Laden for declaring a
"fatwah" (holy war) against the U.S.
All of these accusations are true.
All of these government actions are contrary to the
Constitution.
The biggest cause of terrorism --
and the most dangerous threat to the personal safety and
security of ordinary Americans like you and me -- is the Federal
Government of the United States.
America's Founders envisioned the American people, acting as
businessmen, humanitarians, and missionaries, engaging in
commercial and charitable activities around the world, bringing
peace and receiving the admiration of the world.
"The great rule of conduct for us, in
regard to foreign nations is in extending our commercial
relations to have with them as little political
connection as possible."
— Washington, Farewell Address (1796) [Washington’s
emphasis]
"I deem [one of] the essential
principles of our government, and consequently [one] which
ought to shape its administration,…peace, commerce, and
honest friendship with all nations, entangling alliances
with none."
— Jefferson, First Inaugural Address (1801)
Bush's unconstitutional military invasion
of Iraq has destroyed Christianity in that country.
Under Saddam Hussein's secular government, Christians in
Iraq had greater freedom than in most other Arab nations,
and one of the largest Christian populations in the Muslim
world was in Iraq.
Iraq is now an Islamic theocracy under Sharia law. The
Christian population has been destroyed. Christian Churches
are burned and terrorized with impunity.
Obama is following in Bush's unconstitutional, anti-Christian
footsteps.
This money-creation system is immoral and unconstitutional. It
steals from the poor and elderly.
America's Founding Fathers would conclude that The First
Amendment had been repealed
There is no freedom of religion: the U.S. is officially atheistic.
There is no freedom of the press: the media is the lapdog of
"the Establishment."
Everyone who signed the Constitution, if they were here today,
would urge the repeal of the Constitution and the abolition
of the government created by that document.
On Tuesday, after more than seven
years, the United States of America will end its combat
mission in Iraq and take an important step forward in responsibly
ending the Iraq war.
U.S. military
presence in Iraq will never end as long as Democrats and
Republicans run the federal government. We just won't call it a
"combat" presence.
As a candidate for this office, I
pledged I would end this war. As President, that is what I
am doing. We have brought home more than 90,000 troops since
I took office. We have closed or turned over to Iraq
hundreds of bases. In many parts of the country, Iraqis have
already taken the lead for security.
There are many U.S.
military bases as large as cities that the U.S. has constructed in
the last decade, that will not be "turned over" to the
Iraqis. Iraq is now a colony of the U.S. federal government.
In the months ahead, our troops
will continue to support and train Iraqi forces, partner with
Iraqis in counterterrorism missions, and protect our civilian and
military efforts. But the bottom line is this: the war is
ending. Like any sovereign, independent nation, Iraq is free
to chart its own course. And by the end of next year, all of
our troops will be home.
"Troops will ...
protect our civilian and military efforts."
As we mark the end of America’s
combat mission in
Iraq, a grateful nation must
pay tribute to all who have served there. Because part of
responsibly ending this war is meeting our responsibility to those
who have fought it.
The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan
now make up America’s longest continuous combat
engagement. For the better part of a decade, our troops and
their families have served tour after tour with honor and heroism,
risking and often giving their lives for the defense of our
freedom and security. More
than one million Americans in uniform have served in Iraq – far
more than any conflict since Vietnam. And more than
one million who have served in both wars have now finished their
service and joined the proud ranks of America’s veterans.
What this new generation of
veterans must know is this: our nation’s commitment to all who
wear its uniform is a sacred trust that is as old as our republic
itself. It is one that, as President, I consider a moral
obligation to uphold.
At the same time, these are new
wars; with new missions, new methods, and new perils. And
what today’s veterans have earned – what they have every right
to expect – is new care, new opportunity, and a new commitment
to their service when they come home.
That’s why, from the earliest
days of my Administration, we’ve been strengthening that sacred
trust with our veterans by making our veterans policy more
responsive and ready for this new century.
We’re building a 21st century
VA, modernizing and expanding VA hospitals and health care, and
adapting care to better meet the unique needs of female
veterans. We’re creating a single electronic health record
that our troops and veterans can keep for life. We’re
breaking the claims backlog and reforming the process with new
paperless systems. And we are building new wounded warrior
facilities through the Department of Defense
But for many of our troops and
their families, the war doesn’t end when they come home.
Too many suffer from Traumatic Brain Injury and Post-Traumatic
Stress Disorder – the signature injuries of today’s wars –
and too few receive proper screening or care. We’re
changing that. We’re directing significant resources to
treatment, hiring more mental health professionals, and making
major investments in awareness, outreach, and suicide
prevention. And we’re making it easier for a vet with PTSD
to get the benefits he or she needs.
To make sure our troops,
veterans, and their families have full access to the American
Dream they’ve fought to defend, we’re working to extend them
new opportunity. Michelle
and Jill Biden have forged a national commitment to support
military families while a loved one is away. We’ve
guaranteed new support to caregivers who put their lives on hold
for a loved one’s long recovery. We’re funding and
implementing the Post-9/11 GI Bill, which is already helping some
300,000 veterans and their family members pursue their dream of a college
education.
Where are First
Ladies delegated sweeping powers in the Constitution to
"forge a national commitment."
And for veterans trying to find
work in a very tough economy, we’ve devoted new resources to job
training and placement. I’ve directed the federal government to
hire more veterans, including disabled veterans, and I encourage
every business in America to follow suit. This new generation of
veterans has proven itself to be a new generation of leaders.
They have unmatched training and skills; they’re ready to work;
and our country is stronger when we tap their extraordinary
talents.
It seems like
people who sign up for the military are following the siren song
of the federal government, not really engaging in independent
thinking or encouraging others not to follow the mainstream:
traits usually associated with genuine leaders.
New care. New
opportunity. A new commitment to our veterans.
If you’d like to send our
troops and veterans a message of thanks and support, just visit
whitehouse.gov. There, you’ll find an easy way to upload
your own text or video.
Let them know that they have the
respect and support of a grateful nation. That when their
tour ends; when they see our flag; when they touch our soil; they’ll
always be home in an America that is forever here for them –
just as they’ve been there for us. That is the promise our
nation makes to those who serve. And as long as I’m
Commander-in-Chief, it’s a promise we’ll keep. Thank
you.
“Why
Americans Should
Celebrate Christmas
365 Days
a Year”
The word "Christ" means "King." The Message
of Christmas and the Principles set forth by the Christ (the
Messiah) who came that first Christmas are the real solution to
America's problems. The Federal Government is at war with Christmas
and "The
Way of Peace" announced by the Prince
of Peace. The Government should be on His
shoulders (Isaiah
9:6-7). Abolishing a Messianic State
is the only appropriate way to honor the Messiah. Otherwise
Christmas becomes mass hypocrisy.
The Word became flesh. The Creator of the universe
becomes a human being. He came to His own, but His own did
not receive Him, preferring darkness rather than light.
John the Baptist prepares the way for the Messiah, as
prophesied of Elijah.
As you read the
Gospel accounts, ask yourself how you would react if you knew
these accounts were really true. Not just true in some
"religious" sense, but reported in the New York
Times, proven in a court of law, or acknowledged by your
personal hero. (How do you know something
is true? Do you even have any "heroes?") How should
you change your life if your Creator became a human being? How
should Washington D.C. react if this human being claimed to be
the true Ruler?
The Prophet Micah predicted
that the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem. Jesus'
parents lived in Nazereth. Therefore God predestined
Caesar to issue a decree (probably relating to taxes) that
would bring Joseph and Mary to Bethlehem before Jesus was
born.
Bush claims the same global
power of confiscation and migration as Caesar did. Thousands
of Christians have been forced to move out of Iraq to make way
for Bush's Islamic Theocracy.
An army of angels announces the birth of the Messiah,
saying,
“Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace
to those with whom He is pleased!”
Man's chief
end is to glorify God and live in
peace. The Bush Administration's chief end is to erect a
"wall of separation"
between God and government so that the State gives no glory to
God, and to wage war, thereby "stimulating the
economy."
“Now when they had seen Him, they made widely
known the saying which was told them concerning this
Child. And all those who heard it marveled at those things
which were told them by the shepherds.”
When Herod got word of the birth of a rival king, he
behaved in a perfectly logical way (for someone who wants
to protect his power): he massacred all male babies
the age of Jesus. Herod recognized that Jesus was a threat
to Herod's power.
Every day in America 4,000
unborn babies are murdered. These babies must threaten
something.
Millions of Americans who call themselves Christians, on
the other hand, are no threat to tyranny.
None of them are being killed. Bush has killed a thousand
times more human beings than Herod did, and confiscated a
billion times more wealth than Herod did.
Herod's son Antipas played a small role in the execution
of Jesus Christ. But Jesus rose from the dead, was
enthroned on the throne of David at the right hand of God,
and assumed the rightful role of King over all nations.
"Beginning today and
culminating on Sunday morning, Christians will celebrate with
their families the resurrection of Christ, His victory over
death. We will remember that He gave His body and His blood—washing
clean the faults and the shortcomings of
the world. In our rejoicing we will renew the hope that is
ours through the risenLord." Ronald
Reagan: Statement on the Celebration of Passover and Easter
Every American could be born with a comfortable
inheritance for education, a first home, or medical care; instead,
every American is born in great debt.
Washington D.C. central planning increases debt, does not create
the "Vine &
Fig Tree" life.
Response of the Republican Party
Saturday Morning Radio Address
Saturday, August 28th, 2010
Once again, the Republican
Party leadership has asked Congressman
Ron Paul to deliver . . . wait a minute . . . I'm sorry . .
.
Republican Senate candidate Marco Rubio of Florida delivered the
GOP Weekly Address
Hi, I’m Marco
Rubio.
It’s an honor to
talk to you today about the direction of our country.
At the end of this
address, ask yourself if Rubio did this. What is the
"direction" of the country now, what will be the
"direction" of the country if we adopt Rubio's
suggested policies?
About the decisions
being made in Washington that will determine what kind of nation
we leave to our children.
America is the
greatest country in the history of the world. But that didn’t
happen by accident and it won’t continue automatically.
Today the American
Dream is threatened by out-of-control politicians in Washington
who think that more government deficit spending is what it takes
to grow our economy. That has never worked anywhere it’s been
tried and it won’t work now.
Now for some it may
be hard to imagine that the American Dream could actually be at
risk, but as the son of exiles I know firsthand that it is
possible to lose your country because my parents lost theirs.
They came to America with virtually nothing. My Mom worked
as a factory worker, a maid and a stock clerk at Kmart. My Dad
was a bartender. They made many sacrifices so we would know
opportunities they never did.
But you see our
story is not unique. It’s the story of America. It’s our
history. It’s our common heritage.
Will we remain that
type of country? Well that depends on the decisions we make
right now. America’s greatness is threatened by the economic
policies coming from Washington, D.C. Simply put, they are
taking us in the wrong direction.
But it’s not too late to do something about it.
I'm still looking
for a clear difference in "direction."
You know, for the
last two years I’ve traveled Florida, listening to the
concerns of everyday Americans, and discussing ideas to bring
real change to Washington.
And over and over,
I heard the same message.
Like most
Americans, Floridians are frustrated with arrogance
in Washington. And they have had enough of the
failed stimulus, of record deficits, of reckless spending, and
of economic policies that are killing jobs.
You know, since the
stimulus was passed, more than 200,000 Floridians have lost
their jobs. And for the first time in our history, more
than one million Floridians are out of work.
People have every
right to be upset. But in the midst of this frustration and
anxiety, there is also great resilience.
Tired of finger
pointing and sound bites, they want real solutions. They want an
alternative to the direction
Washington is taking our country and that alternative really isn’t
all that complicated.
First, Washington
needs to realize that politicians don’t create jobs. Jobs are
created by everyday people from all walks of life who start a
new business or grow an existing one. The
job of government is to create an economic climate that
encourages the job creators.
How, exactly, does
the government "create" an "economic
climate." Based on Republican rhetoric, the government does
this by cutting taxes, and spending less. No more deficit
spending. Etc. So does this mean that America's Founders, when
framing the Constitution, said to themselves, "Let's create
a government which will create an economic climate that
encourages job creators. How can we do that? Well, let's give it
the power to not tax, not spend, and not go into debt. Yeah,
that's it!"
No, this is not "the job of government."
But the policies
coming from Washington are scaring the job creators. They have
created tremendous uncertainty about the future.
And that’s why we
must prevent the massive tax hikes
set to take effect at the end of the year. Tax increases
which would be the largest in America’s history.
And it’s time,
once and for all, to abandon ideas like cap-and-trade and card
check.
Second, we need
Washington, D.C., to stop spending more money than it takes
in.
Something
Republicans have never done.
And that means
ending the failed stimulus and using the leftover funds to pay
down the debt.
And finally, we
must repeal ObamaCare and replace it with a
plan that will lower health insurance costs for Americans
without bankrupting the nation.
"Replace it
with a plan." A government plan, no doubt.
Replace it with a
system that promotes competition, allows people to keep
the coverage they already have, and gives individuals the same
tax breaks that businesses get when they buy healthcare
insurance for their employees.
A government system.
We are truly at a
crossroads. Our children will either be the most prosperous
Americans ever, or they will be the first to inherit a
diminished country.
If we stay on the
road Washington has us on right now, we will lose our
exceptionalism and our country will become no different than any
other country in the world.
But if we embrace
free enterprise, if we accept spending discipline, well then
America’s future will be brighter than her history. And we
will secure for our children what they deserve
to inherit. The greatest nation in all of human history.
Why do American
children "deserve" to inherit a great nation?
Thank you for
listening, God bless you and your family, and may God continue
to bless the United States of America. ####
The men who threw tea into the Boston Harbor over a tax of 3 pence
per pound would not be happy with a tax ten times greater on
every gallon of gas. Those who took up muskets over a total tax burden
of less than 3% would not be happy with
the fact that the federal government now takes more
than half of everything you earn.
Today it is illegal for public school teachers to teach their
students that the Declaration of Independence is really true (and not
just an outdated historical document). The federal government is
clearly at war with everything the Founding Fathers stood for.
America's greatest Americans would abolish
today's federal government.
Muskets are Not an Option
There are two reasons why we should not take up arms to pull off
the violent overthrow of the federal
government, even if America's Founders would surely do so. First, the
feds have nukes. Second, violent revolution is unChristian and
unBiblical. We must beat our swords into
plowshares and use persuasion to
abolish tyranny. This is time for a
revolution of ideas.
Revolution Won't Come in a Day
John Adams once wrote that the American
Revolution began in 1761, when Massachusetts attorney James Otis
began legal challenges to the Writs
of Assistance. He lost the case, but "American
independence," Adams wrote, "was
then and there born." Now do the math. That means it took 15
years to convince the rest of America to declare Independence
(1776). Then another seven years of war was required before a
Peace Treaty was signed (1783), and then six years before the
Constitution was finally ratified (1789). That's almost 30 years. (And
Jefferson said we shouldn't go 20
years without another rebellion!) How can we hope to convince
Americans to fight for principles they were never taught in government
schools? We need to be in this battle for the long term. "Eternal
Vigilance is the Price of Liberty."

End the Mexican Civil War
Black-market profits caused by drug prohibition fund a civil

Drug profits also fuel the terrorists who are killing U.S.

Repeal
the campaign finance laws
Campaign finance laws are really incumbent protection laws. They
make it almost impossible for challengers to raise competitive
funding, while doing almost nothing to control the true causes
of government corruption. We were told that the campaign finance
laws—the contribution limits and the reporting requirements—would
curtail or even prevent corruption. Now, with 40 years of
experience, we know that they do the exact opposite.
End
Asset Forfeiture
If the government suspects you used your house or car in a
crime, they can take it and sell it at auction. They don't even
have to prove your guilt. They call this practice civil asset
forfeiture, but it's really theft. It violates the 4th, 5th,
6th, 8th, 9th and 14th Amendments. It also encourages law
enforcement to put profits before justice. Tell Congress to end
civil asset forfeiture.
Cap-and-trade
is not the way to control carbon emissions.
Even if you accept that human CO2 emissions are causing
problematic global warming, a government run "cap and

• New tools for politicians to control the economy, hand out
favors, and punish enemies
• Almost no improvement in reducing overall CO-2 emissions

• Starting with depression era wage and price controls,
