Encouraging the faith of others by an outward expression of
an inward gratitude for the goodness of God both in His creation
and in those around me.
Because I believe in a sovereign, predestinating God, I am
relieved of the burden of making everything work out. I know that
all things work together for good to them that love God, to them
who are the called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28) I
bolster the faith of others with a cheery disposition.
When the downcast are lifted up by my cheerfulness, I am
inspired and encouraged, and better able to cheer up others.
I do not allow temporary, unpleasant circumstances to control
my attitudes.
And we know that all things work together for good to those who
love God, to those who are the called according to His
purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be
conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn
among many brethren.
