God's energy in my spirit expressing itself through my mind,
will and emotions
Gr. enthusiasmos, from enthusiadzo, to
infuse with a divine spirit, from enthous, entheos,
inspired, divine; en and theos, God.
2. Heat of imagination; violent passion or excitement of the
mind, in pursuit of some object, inspiring extravagant hope and
confidence of success. Hence the same heat of imagination,
chastised by reason or experience, becomes a noble passion, an
elevated fancy, a warm imagination, an ardent zeal, that forms
sublime ideas, and prompts to the ardent pursuit of laudable
objects. Such is the enthusiasm of the poet, the orator, the
painter and the sculptor. Such is the enthusiasm of the patriot,
the hero and the Christian.
Webster's 1st ed., 1828
The Spirit of God indwells me, and transforms me from a lukewarm
bump on a log, to a fiery Christian and hero to those God has
entrusted to me to inspire.
I am known as an enthusiastic person, because I continually
express with my spirit the joy of my soul.
Praising God and the good of others lifts the spirits of those
around me, and restores the marred Image of God.
Rejoice always,
-- 1 Thessalonians 5:16
Do not quench the Spirit.
-- 1 Thessalonians 5:19
In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being
predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things
according to the counsel of His will, that we who first trusted in
Christ should be to the praise of His glory.
-- Ephesians 1:11-12
I will meditate in Thy precepts, and have respect unto thy
ways. I will delight myself in Thy statutes: I will not forget Thy
Word.
-- Psalm 119:15
