Dedicated |
to Godly goals |
not aimless, not
loitering, |
not personal feelings
or peer pressure |
Every day my goals are nearer because I stay on the main highway.
I practice resolute self-denial and keep my attention on my goals
until I achieve them.
Hosea 7:11 Ephraim has become like a
dove, silly and without sense; they call upon Egypt, they go to
Assyria.
1 Kings 18:21 And Elijah came unto
all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions?
if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow
him. And the people answered him not a word.
I am not double-minded.
James 1:8 A double minded man is unstable
in all his ways.
4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he
will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners;
and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
I am becoming more and more single-minded.
2 Timothy 2:21 All who cleanse
themselves of the things I have mentioned will become special
utensils, dedicated and useful to the owner of the house, ready
for every good work.
Daniel 1:8 But Daniel resolved that
he would not defile himself with the royal rations of food and
wine; so he asked the palace master to allow him not to defile
himself.
My parents wanted me to be resolute, and my steadfast life is
an honor to their desires.
My friends know me to be determined.
Jeremiah 4:28 for I have spoken, I
have purposed; I have not relented nor will I turn back.
Isaiah 46:11 I have spoken,
and I will bring it to pass; I have planned, and I will do it.
My family sees me becoming more and more dedicated.
My parents are proud of my assiduous life.
My uncompromising habits are an asset to my community.
Those I work with are delighted that I am becoming more and
more goal-directed.
I am not afraid to be persistent in a culture that gives up
easily.
My desire to be unswayable pleases God.
Psalm 17:3 Thou hast proved mine
heart; Thou hast visited me in the night; Thou hast tried
me, and shalt find nothing; I am purposed that my
mouth shall not transgress.
4 Concerning the works of men, by the
Word of Thy lips I have kept me from the paths of the
destroyer.
I am committed to becoming more and more inexhaustible.
People around me can depend on me to be immovable.
The Spirit empowers me in a relentless pursuit of my high
calling.
I often think about how I can be more resolute.
I appreciate tenacity.
My spirit reverberates with resolve.
My conscience knows the value of finishing the race set before
me.
I can tolerate those who are fearful and destructive of
themselves and others. I exhort them to become all that God
created them to be. But I am sensitive to the Spirit beckoning me
toward the stature of Christ and away from those who resist Him.
I will not be dragged down by nihilistic, self-destructive
people, sucked into pity parties, and contaminated by collective
selfishness.

just as He chose us in Him before the
foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame
before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by
Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His
will,
-- Ephesians 1:4-5
Let the proud be ashamed; for they
dealt perversely with me without a cause: but I will meditate in
thy precepts.
-- Psalm 119:78
This isn't that New Age
