confidence in the goodness and sovereignty of God.

Psalm 127:2 It is vain for you to rise up early, To sit up
late, To eat the bread of sorrows; For so He gives His beloved
sleep.
Ezekiel 34:25 "I will make a covenant of peace with them,
and cause wild beasts to cease from the land; and they will dwell
safely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods.
Jeremiah 31:26 After this I awoke and looked around, and my
sleep was sweet to me.
Psalm 37:7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; Do not

Because I believe in a Sovereign God who accomplishes all His
purposes, I am able to relax all muscles and sinews.
I am easily able to relax as deeply as I need to at any time. I
trust in the LORD.
The LORD accomplishes His purposes in my life even while I
sleep.
I am at peace.
I am able to mix conversation and work, thus relaxing even
during times of productivity.
I am becoming more and more peaceful.
I am well-practiced in the exercise of dominion, and am able to
sedate the hysteria of others.
My parents wanted me to be self-possessed, and my balanced life
is an honor to their desires.
My friends know me to be untroubled.
My family sees me becoming more and more tranquil.
My parents are proud of my poised disposition.
My cool-headed habits are an asset to my community.
Those I work with are encouraged that I can remain composed
while others are frantic.
I am not afraid to be gentle in a war-mongering culture.
My desire to be sabbatic pleases God.
Meditation in God's Word leaves me re-created and prepared for
service.
I am committed to restoring Edenic conditions in my life and in
my world.
People around me can depend on me to steady the ship.
The Spirit gifts me with serenity in the midst of an addictive
world.
I appreciate rest.
My spirit reverberates with tranquility.
I know the value of rejuvenating sleep.
I have a natural affinity with equanimity.
Serenity comes effortlessly to me.
I have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God,
the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels
(Hebrews 12:22); I have entered His rest and have ceased from my
works as God did from His (Hebrews 4:10); by grace, these words
resonate in my new man:
