What is “Civil Government?”

Hundreds of millions of people murdered.
Billions of people enslaved.
Trillions of dollars of property confiscated or destroyed.
In the 20th century alone.

And in every case -- eventually -- culture secularized, militarized, feminized, homosexualized
And the Gospel of Jesus Christ suppressed.
In every case.

Civil authority

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
  (Redirected from Civil government)

Civil authority (also known as civil government) is that apparatus of the state other than its military units that enforces law and order. It is also used to distinguish between religious authority (for example Canon law) and secular authority. In a religious context it may be defined "as synonymous with human government, in contradistinction to a government by God, or the divine government."[1]

These conventional definitions of "civil government" come from Aristotle, not the Bible.

Where does the Bible say that "civil government" must be singular?
Where does the Bible say that only one group or agency should provide order in the civil sphere?

Where does the Bible say that "civil government" must be secular?

Where does the Bible say that there should be an agency or group that is not "military" and is not "religious" that has the power to tax?

Is "civil government" -- "in contradistinction to a government by God, or the divine government" -- inherently humanistic?

Some would say that "civil government" will be OK as soon as it acknowledges "The Lordship of Christ."
What would happen to the Mafia if it should "acknowledge The Lordship of Christ?"
       Answer: "mortification."
And then resurrection -- as something completely un-Mafia-like.

Democracy: literally, "government by the people."

When "We the People" truly and consistently turn to God, and "mortify" our old government, what kind of government will we have?

Theocracy: literally, "government by God."

In a post-Calvary world of Biblical Obedience, there is no military government, and there is no non-religious activity.
