Congressional Issues 2010 ENERGY TheEthanol Illusion
The 112th Congress should
reject proposals to subsidize any form of energy, including ethanol, and eliminate all existing subsidies for domestic production and tariffs on imported energy.
Government says it wants us to use ethanol, but refuses to remove a 54-cent tax on every gallon of imported ethanol. This proves that government isn't really interested in our using ethanol, it's interested in getting votes from domestic corn growers.
