Details
- I studied law and passed the California Bar Exam but was denied a license to practice law because I am a Christian whose allegiance to God is greater than my allegiance to the government.
- I rented a 12-room house and provided shelter and counseling for an average of 19 homeless people who lived in my home 24/7 for the better part of a decade (over one thousand individuals). I didn't call myself a "coach" at the time, but that's pretty much what I was.
- I have also used my legal knowledge to form other non-profit organizations which have helped the poor. Here is one.

A Coaching Relationship?
I think (but I have to admit I'm not sure) I'd like to turn my "coaching" ministry into a business. I have never been paid for any "coaching" I've done. I think there's a paying market for it.
Another side of me wants to continue giving my services away pro bono publico ("for the good of the public," without compensation or remuneration). This makes me quite indecisive.
I've been blessed with benefactors who have made pro bono coaching possible. Those days may be coming to an end. I need to create financial stability. I want to turn my ministry into a self-sustaining business, with at least one income stream.
I'm looking for an internet marketer who is willing to donate the information I need to raise enough money to pay for more marketing information. I'm looking for a coach who is willing to coach me in the art of earning enough money to pay for more coaching.
They say "When the student is ready, the teacher will appear." I'm certainly not ready to pay for a teacher. But there may be a teacher out there who thinks I'm ready and is willing make the following gamble.
If you'll show me how to raise $5,000, I'll buy $5,000 in additional coaching from you. That means 100% of my gross. If you can show me how to raise an additional $10,000, I'll pay you $5,000 more. That's 50% of the gross. We'll continue this as long as you can convince me you can double my income at half the percentage of my gross.

Will I pay you for what you help me accomplish, and for the knowledge you will give me to accomplish more? Start here to learn about my character. Since I graduated from college I have dedicated my life to providing social services pro bono. I have sacrificed hundreds of thousands of dollars in potential income. If you can teach me how to make money, I'm happy to pay you for those skills. I'm not here to rip you off.
Give me one hour of your time to look over my ideas. Give me a week's assignment that will lead to my first paying clients. I will complete that assignment with rapidity and efficiency. If I don't, you can terminate this relationship. I'm confident that I can get paying clients with your help. I have written over 3,000 webpages and blog posts of a fairly scholarly level. At least non-gossipy. I'm not a slacker. I will make good use of the knowledge you give me.

Why I will not use my personal credit
I don't have the money to buy a $5,000 coaching course. I have good credit, and I'm completely debt-free, but I only use my credit cards if I have already raised the money to pay the bill at the end of the month. I've been told it makes good business sense to use "Other People's Money." In today's economy, other people don't have any money. Using credit means creating money out of thin air, which I believe is an act of theft. I've explained my opposition to "OPM" here.
