One of the most neglected of concepts from the Protestant Reformation
is that of "The Priesthood of All Believers."

- Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an
holy priesthood,
to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus
Christ.

- But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood,
an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the
praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his
marvellous light;

- And hath made us kings and priests unto
God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and
ever. Amen.

- And hast made us unto our God kings and priests:
and we shall reign on the earth.
The doctrine asserts that we don't have to go through a hierarchy to
become a friend of God:

- And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed
God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was
called the Friend of
God.

- And the Lord spake
unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend.

- Art not thou our God, who didst drive out the inhabitants of
this land before thy people Israel, and gavest it to the seed of
Abraham thy friend for

It also means that we all have responsibilities. Christianity is not a
spectator sport. You don't get to sit in the stands.
You need to become a coach.
