We favor
prompt, reliable and more efficient six-day per week postal service. |
Delivery of all forms of mail
should be privatized. |
We recommend that the United States Postal Service
continue its practice of screening and hiring local people to fill
postal positions. |
|
We oppose
closing small volume post offices. |
|
We favor the
continuation of next day, in-state delivery service. |
|
We are opposed
to any postal rate increase in the near future but if one should occur
we believe that postage should be increased to reflect the actual cost
incurred in handling all classes of mail rather than the majority of
the increase being levied on first class. |
|
We propose that
in lieu of any further postage rate increases, more contract mail
deliveries (including in town) should be made. |
|
We oppose any
fee or tax on internet transactions or e-mail messages. |
This is an urban
legend. |
We also suggest
that there should be more quality control and less waste. |
|
We are opposed
to the sponsorship of any activity or event by the U.S. Postal
Service. |
|
We favor
postmaster training in conflict management to stop "postal"
incidents from happening. |
