Notes and Summary of the President's Saturday Radio Address:
"Traveling Abroad for Our Economy at Home"
The White House Press Office: In an address
recorded in Seoul, South Korea, the President discusses his trip to Asia. He talks about his push to stop nuclear proliferation in North Korea, Iran, and around the
world. He talks about promoting America's principles for an open society in China while making progress on joint efforts to combat climate change. And talks in-depth
about the primary objective of his trip: engaging in new markets that hold tremendous potential to spur job creation here at home. (continued

November is A Month for Thanksgiving
November 26th is “Thanksgiving Day”
Thanksgiving is a federal holiday. Historically, this meant giving thanks to the God of the Bible. This is ironic, since the federal government is
at war with the God of the Bible. The holiday represents an endorsement of prayer, since we give thanks to God through prayer, and
yet the federal government says it must never "endorse" prayer or religion.
We should give thanks that America was once a Christian nation. We're still living off the capital built upon Christian foundations.
With Thanksgiving Day approaching next week, let's look at a Thanksgiving Proclamation written by Sam Adams and approved
by the Continental Congress in 1777:
Forasmuch as it is the indispensable
duty of all men to adore the superintending providenceof Almighty God; to acknowledge with gratitude their obligation to him for benefits received, and to implore such
farther blessings as they stand in need of; and it having pleased him in his abundant mercy not only to continue to
us the innumerable bounties of his common providence,
[so far, so good]
but also to smile upon us in the prosecution of a just
and necessary war,
for the defence and establishment of our unalienable rights
and liberties; particularly in that he hath been pleased in so great a measure to prosper the means used for the support of our troops and to crown our arms with
most signal success:
[oops!]
It is therefore recommended to the legislative or executive powers of these United States, to
set apart Thursday, the eighteenth day of December next, for solemn thanksgiving
and praise; that with one heart and one voice the good people may express the grateful feelings of their hearts, and consecrate themselves to the service of their
divine benefactor; and that together with their sincere acknowledgments and offerings, they may join the penitent confession of their manifold sins, whereby they
had forfeited every favour, and their humble and earnest supplication that it may please God, through the merits of JesusChrist, mercifully to
forgive and blot them out of remembrance; that it may please him graciously to afford his blessing on the governments of these states respectively, and prosper the
public council of the whole; to inspire our commanders both by land and sea, and all under them, with that wisdom and fortitude which may render them fit
instruments, under the providence
of Almighty God, to secure for these United States the greatest of all human blessings, independence and peace;
that it may please him to prosper the trade and manufactures of the people and the labour of the husbandman, that our land may yet yield its increase; to take
schools and seminaries of education,
so necessary for cultivating the principles of true liberty, virtue
and piety,
under his nurturing hand, and to prosper the means of religion
for the promotion and enlargement of that kingdom which consisteth "in righteousness,
peace and joy in the Holy Ghost."
And it is further recommended, that servile labour, and such recreation as, though at other times innocent,
may be unbecoming the purpose of this appointment, be omitted on so solemn an occasion.
Everything Sam Adams and America's Founding Fathers fought for and were thankful for has been lost: "independence,"
"peace," "virtue," and "piety."
The explanation is simple: although America's Founding Fathers trusted in God and in Jesus Christ, they also trusted in horses and chariots (Psalm
20:7; Deuteronomy 17:16).
A nation cannot long last as a Christian nation if, in the pursuit of their "inalienable rights and liberties," it is willing to kill IRS agents (with or
without Red Coats) and Afghan peasants. It only takes a little toxin to poison a lot of pure
water. If we want the American dream of everyone living safely under his own Vine & Fig Tree, we must be willing to beat
our swords into plowshares.
Had Sam Adams and America's Founders been consistent in their trust in Divine Providence, they would have endured the violation of their rights -- as
Jesus did -- and waited patiently for God to change the hearts of the British. It was less than honest for John Adams, Ben Franklin, and John Jay to claim, "In the
name of the most holy and undivided Trinity," that they relied totally on "Divine Providence to dispose the hearts of the most serene and most potent Prince
George the Third" and the United States to reach an amicable agreement.
We don't really trust in Divine Providence if we are willing to kill our enemies. And it's hypocritical
to give Thanks to God for His blessings if we pursue those blessings (such as oil for our industry) with powerful and indiscriminate armed military intervention and mass
destruction around the globe.
And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow
him: but if Baal, then follow him. 1 Kings 18:21
The federal government only has the powers granted to it -- "enumerated" -- in the Constitution.
The "General Welfare" clause is no exception to this principle.
"States Rights" -- most government should be carried out on a local level.
The Constitution created a federal government with very limited powers, bound down by the "chains
of the constitution." The Bush-Obama Regime believes it has vast, unlimited powers to cure all diseases, fund all causes, and bring salvation.
America's Founders envisioned the American people, acting as businessmen, humanitarians, and missionaries, engaging in commercial and charitable activities around
the world, bringing peace and receiving the admiration of the world.
"The great rule of conduct for us, in regard to foreign nations is in extending our commercial relations to have with them as little political
connection as possible."
— Washington, Farewell Address (1796) [Washington’s emphasis]
"I deem [one of] the essential principles of our government, and consequently [one] which ought to shape its administration,…peace,
commerce, and honest friendship with all nations, entangling alliances with none."
— Jefferson, First Inaugural Address (1801)
Bush's unconstitutional military invasion of Iraq has destroyed Christianity in that country.
Under Saddam Hussein's secular government, Christians in Iraq had greater freedom than in most other Arab nations, and one of the largest Christian populations
in the Muslim world was in Iraq.
Iraq is now an Islamic theocracy under Sharia law. The Christian population has been destroyed. Christian Churches are burned and terrorized with impunity.
Obama is following in Bush's unconstitutional, anti-Christian footsteps.
This money-creation system is immoral and unconstitutional. It steals from the poor and elderly.
America's Founding Fathers would conclude that The First Amendment had been repealed
There is no freedom of religion: the U.S. is officially atheistic.
There is no freedom of the press: the media is the lapdog of "the Establishment."
Everyone who signed the Constitution, if they were here today, would urge the repeal of the Constitution and the abolition of the
government created by that document.
Hi. I’m recording this message from Seoul, South Korea, as I finish up my first presidential trip to Asia. As we emerge
from the worst recession in generations, there is nothing more important than to do everything we can to get our economy moving again and put Americans back to work,
and I will go anywhere to pursue that goal.
Nothing in the Constitution even remotely hints at the idea that "We the People" gave the President
authority to "get our economy moving again and put Americans back to work."
Much less travel to China in an attempt to do so.
That’s one of the main reasons I took this trip. Asia is a region where we now buy more goods and do more trade
with than any other place in the world – commerce that supports millions of jobs back home.
"Businessmen make the best diplomats."
The great rule of conduct for us, in regard to foreign nations is in extending our commercial relations to have with them as little political
connection as possible."
— Washington, Farewell Address (1796) [Washington’s emphasis]
I deem [one of] the essential principles of our government, and consequently [one] which ought to shape its administration,…peace, commerce, and
honest friendship with all nations, entangling alliances with none.
— Jefferson, First Inaugural Address (1801)
It’s also a place where the risk of a nuclear arms race threatens our security, and where extremists plan attacks on
America’s soil.
If the U.S. wants Asia to eliminate its nukes, the U.S. should take the lead:
And since this region includes some of the fastest-growing nations, there can be no solution to the challenge of climate
change without the cooperation of the Asia Pacific.
And there will be no "solution" because
breaking the knees of American industry will not alter "climate change"
With this in mind, I traveled to Asia to open a new era of American engagement. We made progress with China and Russia in
sending a unified message to Iran and North Korea that they must live up to their international obligations and either forsake nuclear weapons or face the
consequences.
As the two largest consumers and producers of energy, we developed a host of new clean energy initiatives with China, and our two
nations agreed to work toward a successful outcome at the upcoming climate summit in Copenhagen – an outcome that leads to immediate action to reduce carbon
pollution.
And I spoke to young men and women at a town hall in Shanghai and across the internet about certain values that we in America believe
are universal: the freedom of worship and speech; the right to access information and choose one’s own leaders.
If America's Founding Fathers were to see America today, would they find "freedom of worship?"
But above all, I spoke with leaders in every nation I visited about what we can
do to sustain this economic recovery and bring back jobs and prosperity for our people – a task I will continue to focus on relentlessly in the weeks and months
ahead.
Does "we" mean Obama and Asian leaders?
What on earth can Barack Obama, working with "leaders in every nation," do to bring "prosperity" to "our people?" Not only does the
Constitution not empower the President to manage our economy, it certainly does not give any such power to "leaders in every nation" in Asia to interfere in
our economy.
This recession has taught us that we can’t return to a situation where America’s economic growth is fueled by consumers who take
on more and more debt. In order to keep growing, we need to spend less, save more, and get our federal deficit under control. We also need to place a
greater emphasis on exports that we can build, produce, and sell to other nations – exports that can help create new jobs at home and raise living standards
throughout the world.
"Consumers" who take on more debt? How about governments? How can Obama pose as an
investment advisor?
For example, if we can increase our exports to Asia Pacific nations by just 5%,
we can increase the number of American jobs supported by these exports by hundreds of thousands. This is already happening with businesses like American
Superconductor Corporation, an energy technology startup based in Massachusetts that’s been providing wind power and smart grid systems to countries like China,
Korea, and India. By doing so, it’s added more than 100 jobs over the last few years.
Does "we" mean Obama and Asian leaders?
If we export something to China, what does Obama think we're going to do with the money we get from the Chinese, if not buy something from China?
Increasing our exports is one way to create new jobs and new prosperity. But as we emerge from a recession that has left
millions without work, we have an obligation to consider every additional, responsible step we can take to encourage and accelerate job creation in this country.
That’s why I’ve announced that in the next few weeks, we’ll be holding a forum at the White House on jobs and economic growth. I want to hear from CEOs and
small business owners, economists and financial experts, as well as representatives from labor unions and nonprofit groups, about what they think we
can do to spur hiring and get this economy moving again.
This forum is completely unConstitutional.
The only thing the White House can do to "get the economy moving again" is to abolish all laws that interfere in economic growth.
It is important that we do not make any ill-considered decisions – even with the best of intentions – particularly at a time when
our resources are so limited. But it is just as important that we
are open to any demonstrably good idea to supplement the steps we’ve already taken to put America back to
work. That’s what I hope to achieve in this forum.
Still, there is no forum or policy that can bring all the jobs we’ve lost
overnight. I wish there were, because so many Americans – friends, neighbors, family members – are desperately looking for work. But even though it
will take time, I can promise you this: we are moving in the right direction; that the steps we
are taking are helping; and I will not let up until businesses start hiring again, unemployed Americans start
working again, and we rebuild this economy stronger and more prosperous than it was before. That has been
the focus of our efforts these past ten months – and it will continue to be our
focus in the months and years to come.
Aren't you glad that Obama and Asian leaders are going to get you a new job?
Every American could be born with a comfortable inheritance for education, a first home, or medical care; instead, every American is born in great
debt.
Washington D.C. central planning increases debt, does not create the "Vine & Fig Tree"
life.
Restoring America's Greatness by
Celebrating Christmas
all year long
The Message of Christmas and the Principles set forth by the Christ (the Messiah) who came that first Christmas are the real solution to America's problems. The
Federal Government is at war with Christmas and "The Way of Peace" announced
by the Prince of Peace.
The Word became flesh. The Creator of the universe becomes a human being. He came to His own, but His own did not receive Him, preferring darkness rather than
light.
John the Baptist prepares the way for the Messiah, as prophesied of Elijah.
As you read the Gospel accounts, ask yourself how you would react if you knew these accounts were really true. Not just
true in some "religious" sense, but reported in the New York Times, proven in a court of law, or acknowledged by your personal hero. (How do you
know something is true? Do you even have any "heroes?") How should you change your life if your Creator became a human being? How should
Washington D.C. react if this human being claimed to be the true Ruler?
The Prophet Micah predicted that the Messiah would be born in
Bethlehem. Jesus' parents lived in Nazereth. Therefore God predestined Caesar to issue a decree (probably relating
to taxes) that would bring Joseph and Mary to Bethlehem before Jesus was born.
Bush claims the same global power of confiscation and migration as Caesar did. Thousands of Christians have been forced to move out
of Iraq to make way for Bush's Islamic Theocracy.
An army of angels announces the birth of the Messiah, saying,
“Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace to those with whom He is pleased!”
Man's chief end is to glorify God and live in
peace. The Bush Administration's chief end is to erect a "wall of separation" between God and government so
that the State gives no glory to God, and to wage war, thereby "stimulating the economy."
“Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. And all those who heard it marveled at
those things which were told them by the shepherds.”
When Herod got word of the birth of a rival king, he behaved in a perfectly logical way (for someone who wants to protect his power): he massacred all
male babies the age of Jesus. Herod recognized that Jesus was a threat to Herod's power.
Every day in America 4,000 unborn babies are murdered. These babies must threaten something.
Millions of Americans who call themselves Christians, on the other hand, are no threat to tyranny. None of them are being killed.
Bush has killed a thousand times more human beings than Herod did, and confiscated a billion times more wealth than Herod did.
Response of the Republican Party
Saturday Morning Radio Address
Saturday, November 21, 2009
Sen. Mike Crapo of Idaho, criticizing
the President's plan to socialize healthcare.
This is Senator Mike Crapo from Idaho. Americans are calling on Congress for health care reform because they can no longer
tolerate its skyrocketing cost.
They want us to stop the punishing increases in insurance premiums and health care costs that, year after year, are driving
families across this nation to the edge. And, they want us to ensure that they have meaningful access to quality health care. But, when Senate Majority Leader
Harry Reid finally revealed the 2,074-page bill that has been crafted for weeks now behind closed doors, that’s hardly what we got.
This two-thousand page bill will:
• Drive up the cost of health care insurance and medical care, not down;
• Increase taxes by hundreds of billions of dollars;
• Cut Medicare for senior citizens by hundreds of billions of dollars;
• Grow the federal government by over $2.4 trillion in new spending;
• Push the needy uninsured into a failing Medicaid system;
• Impose a damaging unfunded mandate on our struggling states;
• Leave millions of Americans uninsured; and
• Establish a massive governmental intrusion into management of our health care economy.
This is not true health care reform, and it is not what the American people want. This bill will result in higher premiums and
higher health care costs for Americans - period.
A significant number of these provisions violate President Obama’s promise to the American people, namely that lower- and
middle-class Americans would not see a tax increase under his proposals.
And, yet, this bill clearly breaks that promise as it taxes a wide range of Americans: the uninsured and the insured; families
with so-called high value insurance plans; employers who create jobs or provide retiree drug coverage; individuals who need medicines or medical devices; and many
others. It also levies fines and penalties on individuals, families and businesses.
Medicare faces cuts of nearly $500 billion to create the new government entitlement, even though Medicare is already facing
enormous unfunded liabilities and looming insolvency. These cuts will reduce access to and the quality of care our seniors receive from a number of Medicare
providers, including hospitals, nursing homes, home health and hospice services.
And, as they see their access to and quality of care reduced, seniors enrolled in the popular Medicare Advantage plans will also
lose many of the benefits that they enjoy today.
We are already experiencing record deficits and debt, and yet, this bill creates a massive expansion of government, growing the
size of the federal government by over $2.4 trillion over ten full years of implementation.
The legislation pushes 15 million people into the failing Medicaid system rather than giving them access to health insurance.
And, in addition to forcing the neediest of the uninsured into a failing entitlement program, this expansion will result in $25
billion in unfunded Medicaid mandates on the states, which are already struggling financially. This mandate further jeopardizes state budgets as it forces them to
drive up spending.
The bill creates a government option insurance company and establishes unprecedented expansion of governmental control over
health care. It establishes the government as the determiner of what kind of insurance Americans can purchase. It also imposes new federal mandates on all
Americans.
The first mandate would apply to the individual: buy insurance or the IRS will collect a fine from you. Then, on employers:
face a penalty if you don’t provide a government-approved health plan. The bill imposes $28 billion in new taxes on employers who don’t comply.
Those new taxes would be passed along to employees in the form of reduced wages and lost jobs.
You’re going to hear a lot about this bill. That’s why I encourage you to read the bill yourself and form your own opinion.
The bill is available on my website as well as a number of other Internet sites. Take a close look at how the bill is funded and who and what it covers and
doesn’t cover and how it may impact you and your family. It’s a real eye-opener!
In recent months, I’ve heard from many Idahoans in my home state about health care, and they echo what Americans want in health
care reform--lower costs and better quality.
What Americans really want is the kind of step-by-step reforms that Republicans have been advocating for years — common-sense
ideas like the ability to purchase insurance across state lines, allowing small businesses to pool together to offer more affordable health insurance to their
employees; changing the incentives in our system from numbers of procedures to quality of outcomes; eliminating pre-existing condition limitations, equalizing the
tax treatment of insurance; eliminating waste, fraud and abuse and promoting wellness and prevention programs that encourage people to make healthy choices.
During the Bush Administration, Republicans owned all three branches of Government, and yet did none of these things.
Bush radically increased government involvement in medicine with Medicare Part D.
These are the kinds of reform that make sense and would really make a difference for all Americans. Thank you for listening.

Here’s a Second Opinion | Hoover Institution - Hoover Digest
Ten reasons why America’s health care system is in better condition than you might suppose
The Market Doesn’t Ration Health Care | Foundation for Economic Education
Economics 101 says giving more people access to the same number of doctors and hospitals means government rationing. Decisions about healthcare will be made
by bureaucrats to "control costs," which MUST increase when "access" to a fixed supply of goods is increased.
Our choice is between rationing by bureaucrats (including insurance clerks empowered by government tax policy) and individual self-determination through free
exchange.
The men who threw tea into the Boston Harbor over a tax of 3 pence per pound would not be happy with a tax ten times greater on every gallon of gas. Those who
took up muskets over a total tax burden of less than 3% would not be happy with the fact that the federal government now takes more
than half of everything you earn.
Today it is illegal for public school teachers to teach their students that the Declaration of Independence is really true (and not just an outdated historical
document). The federal government is clearly at war with everything the Founding Fathers stood for.
America's greatest Americans would abolish today's federal government.
Muskets are Not an Option
There are two reasons why we should not take up arms to pull off the violent overthrow of the federal government, even if America's
Founders would surely do so. First, the feds have nukes. Second, violent revolution is unChristian and unBiblical. We must beat our swords into
plowshares and use persuasion to abolish tyranny. This is time for a revolution of ideas.
Revolution Won't Come in a Day
John Adams once wrote that the American Revolution began in 1761, when
Massachusetts attorney James Otis began legal challenges to the Writs of Assistance. He
lost the case, but "American independence," Adams wrote, "was
then and there born." Now do the math. That means it took 15 years to convince the rest of America to declare Independence (1776). Then another seven
years of war was required before a Peace Treaty was signed (1783), and then six years before the Constitution was finally ratified (1789). That's almost 30
years. (And Jefferson said we shouldn't go 20 years without another rebellion!) How can we hope
to convince Americans to fight for principles they were never taught in government schools? We need to be in this battle for the long term. "Eternal
Vigilance is the Price of Liberty."

Help End the Mexican Civil War
Black-market profits caused by drug prohibition fund a civil war in Mexico that's threatening to spill over our borders. Drug profits also fuel the terrorists
who are killing U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan. It's time to dry up the black-market profits. It's time to end drug prohibition.

It's time to end the Fed.
No Bailouts!
No government money, whether borrowed or taxed, should ever be used to bailout private financial interests. If you agree, please send Congress a message telling

TWIC - A Backdoor Real ID Card
Real ID is dying. But the Department of Homeland Security has a new plan to subject every American to a national ID card anyway. They plan to pick off one
occupational field at a time, starting with the maritime industry. One man is fighting back. Meet him, and help stop this backdoor Real ID plan.
Stop the Killer Horse Hormones
The FDA "outlawed" the use of Estriol, an estrogen medication that's bio-identical to human estrogen. Doctors must now prescribe animal-derived estrogen
instead. Are bio-identical hormones dangerous, while animal-derived hormones are safe? No. The practice of medicine is moving to chemically identical to human
hormones and away from animal hormones. Learn why the FDA decided to endanger women's health in this way, and take action.
End Asset Forfeiture
If the government suspects you used your house or car in a crime, they can take it and sell it at auction. They don't even have to prove your guilt. They call
this practice civil asset forfeiture, but it's really theft. It violates the 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th, 9th and 14th Amendments. It also encourages law enforcement to
put profits before justice. Tell Congress to end civil asset forfeiture.
Support an Iraq Referendum
Americans keep debating when, how, or if to leave Iraq. Maybe we should ask the Iraqi people what they want. After all, it's their country. Tell Congress to
request that the Iraqi government hold a public referendum on the U.S. occupation. Learn

"Cap and Trade" is not the way
The politicians seem to be unifying around "cap and trade" as a way to cut CO2 emissions. If they take this step it may be the largest increase in

Stop the War for Terror U.S. policy has inflamed the Middle East. It has made terrorism more likely rather than less. We seem to be fighting a war for

with Iran would devastate our economy, disrupt world oil supplies, and recruit more terrorists. Click here
