President Obama Invites All Americans to
Honor America’s Fallen Heroes this Memorial Day
White House Press Office: – In this week’s
address, President Barack Obama asked all Americans to join him in
remembering and honoring our men and women in uniform who have died in
service to the country. The commitment these heroes have
demonstrated – the willingness to lay down their lives so the rest
of us might inherit the blessings of this nation – has helped make
America the most prosperous, most powerful nation on earth and it is
what we honor on Memorial Day. (continued
America's Founders envisioned the American people, acting as
businessmen, humanitarians, and missionaries, engaging in
commercial and charitable activities around the world, bringing
peace and receiving the admiration of the world.

Bush's unconstitutional military invasion
of Iraq has destroyed Christianity in that country.
Under Saddam Hussein's secular government, Christians in
Iraq had greater freedom than in most other Arab nations,
and one of the largest Christian populations in the Muslim
world was in Iraq.
Iraq is now an Islamic theocracy under Sharia law. The
Christian population has been destroyed. Christian Churches
are burned and terrorized with impunity.

This weekend, as we celebrate
Memorial Day, families across America will gather in backyards and
front porches, fire up the barbeque, kick back with friends, and
spend time with people they care about. That is as it should be.
But I also hope that as you do so, you’ll take some time to
reflect on what Memorial Day is all about; on why we set this day
aside as a time of national remembrance.
It’s fitting every day to pay
tribute to the men and women who wear the uniform
of the United States of America. Still, there are certain days
that have been set aside for all of us to do so. Veterans Day is
one such day – when we are called to honor Americans who’ve
fought under our country’s flag.
Our calling on Memorial Day is
different. On this day, we honor not just those who’ve worn this
but the men and women who’ve died in its service; who’ve laid
down their lives in defense of
their fellow citizens; who’ve given their last full measure of
devotion to protect the United
States of America. These are the men and women I will be honoring
this weekend, and I know many of you are doing the same.
There are any number of reasons
America emerged from its humble beginnings as a cluster of
colonies to become the most prosperous, most powerful nation
on earth. There is the hard work, the resilience, and the
character of our people. There is the ingenuity and enterprising
spirit of our entrepreneurs and innovators. There are the ideals
of opportunity, equality, and freedom that have not only inspired
our people to perfect our own union,
but inspired others to perfect theirs as well.
But from the very start, there
was also something more. A steadfast commitment to serve, to
fight, and if necessary, to die, to preserve America and advance
the ideals we cherish. It’s a commitment witnessed at
each defining moment along the journey of this country. It’s
what led a rag-tag militia to face British soldiers at Lexington
and Concord. It’s what led young men, in a country divided half
slave and half free, to take up arms to save ourunion.
It’s what led patriots in each generation to sacrifice their own
lives to secure the life of our nation, from the trenches of World
War I to the battles of World War II, from Inchon and Khe Sanh,
from Mosul to Marjah.
That commitment – that
willingness to lay down their lives so we might inherit the blessings
of this nation – is what we honor today. But on this Memorial
Day, as on every day, we are called to honor their ultimate
sacrifice with more than words. We are called to honor them with
We are called to honor them by doing
our part for the loved ones our fallen heroes have left behind
and looking after our
military families. By making sure the men and women
serving this country around the world have the support they need
to achieve their missions and come home safely. By making sure
veterans have the care and assistance they need. In short,
by serving all those who have ever worn the uniform
of this country – and their
families – as well as they have served us.
On April 25, 1866, about a year
after the Civil War ended, a group of women visited a cemetery in
Columbus, Mississippi, to place flowers
by the graves of Confederate soldiers who had fallen at Shiloh. As
they did, they noticed other graves nearby, belonging to Union
dead. But no one had come to visit those graves, or place a flower
there. So they decided to lay a few stems for those men too, in
recognition not of a fallen Confederate or a fallen Union
soldier, but a fallen American.
A few years later, an
organization of Civil War veterans established what became
Memorial Day, selecting a date that coincided with the time when flowers
were in bloom. So this weekend, as we commemorate Memorial Day, I
ask you to hold all our fallen heroes
in your hearts, and if you can, to lay a flower
where they have come to rest.
The word "Christ" means "King." The Message

these accounts were really true. Not just true in some
"religious" sense, but reported in the New York

personal hero. (How do you know something
is true? Do you even have any "heroes?") How should
you change your life if your Creator became a human being? How
should Washington D.C. react if this human being claimed to be
the true Ruler?
The Prophet Micah predicted
that the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem. Jesus'
parents lived in Nazereth. Therefore God predestined
Caesar to issue a decree (probably relating to taxes) that
would bring Joseph and Mary to Bethlehem before Jesus was

When Herod got word of the birth of a rival king, he

Millions of Americans who call themselves Christians, on

None of them are being killed. Bush has killed a thousand

Orange, Calif: So many Christian commentators today
make the claim that virtually all founding fathers were really
members of anti-Christian secret societies, e.g., Masonic orders.

intent behind the Constitution was overwhelmingly Christian. Could

years, Freemasonry and its links to the Founding Fathers has
been a focal point of controversy. This new work explores the
truth behind this connection and corrects the numerous myths
about Freemasonry and the Founders. Primary sources reveal
both the Founders' limited involvement with Freemasonry as
well as the dramatic changes that Masonry has undergone since
the time of the Founders. This work provides an insightful
history of the secret society and offers convincing proof of
its relatively small influence on America's foundations." WallBuilders.com:
The Question of Freemasonry and the Founding Fathers
order can be religiously neutral, and the modern political
order in the United States and other Western nations, called
"pluralism," is in reality polytheism. As in the
ancient world, polytheists are offended at those who claim
that there is only one God, and this is why orthodox
Christianity is increasingly under assault in the United
States and throughout the Western world. In this book, Gary
North brings his many years of theological and historical
research to bear on the question of how this polytheistic
state of affairs came about, and what must be done about it.
In a powerful argument, sure to be controversial, North points
a finger at the framers of the Constitution of the United
States, who self-consciously broke with 1000 + years of
Western heritage by not referring to the Trinity and to Christ
as King. This was the hole in the dike, North contends,
through which modern secularism has poured. No one concerned
about the state of the American nations can afford to ignore

is easy to see the social implications of allowing priority to
fall to either the one or the many. This volume examines
in-depth the Christian solution to the problem of the one and
the many — the Trinitarian God. Only in the Godhead is this
dilemma resolved. Only in the Trinity does there reside an
equal ultimacy of unity and plurality. Rushdoony examines the
history of Western thought from the standpoint of the one and
the many and demonstrates clearly that the most astute
thinkers were unable to resolve this philosophical conflict.
What is needed now is a complete return to the Trinitarian
view of God and its implications for a Christian social
Hi, I’m Congressman Kevin
McCarthy and I have the honor of representing the great people
of California’s 22nd Congressional District.
This week, House Republicans
launched a new effort to change the way Washington governs by
returning the voice of the American people to the process.
You know, there is nothing more
powerful and inspirational than the common voice of the common
man. Over the last year, we’ve all been reminded of
this. In town halls and on public squares, in every corner
of this country, people have gathered and spoken out – in
small groups and larger crowds, through phone calls and in
They acted individually and

But their message was the same: Washington needs to
Over the last 18 months,
Democrats running Washington have failed to listen to the
American people. Instead, they’ve pursued a partisan
agenda that doesn’t reflect the priorities of the American
people, who are fed up with the spending, the taxes, the
bailouts, and the debt being piled on to our kids and grandkids.
It’s time for the American
people to once again have a role in driving America’s agenda.
That’s why we’ve launched America Speaking Out – a new
project to engage the American people and seek out their ideas
for solving our nation’s challenges.
We recognize that Americans
don’t want an agenda imposed on them from Washington.
They want to help set the agenda.
Instead of debates behind
closed doors, which has happened far too often in the last 18
months, we’re throwing open the doors and letting a little
sunshine in. America Speaking Out will give
Americans back the voice in Washington – and House Republicans
are ready to listen.
As Republicans, we know our
principles - limited, and more accountable government; economic
freedom; lower taxes; fiscal responsibility; protecting life,
American values, and the Constitution; and providing for strong
national security. And we’ve offered better solutions
than the Democrats in Washington. So this isn’t a
listening tour. But we appreciate that the American people
ultimately control Washington and any agenda must start with
The initial phase of engagement
that we launched this week is about soliciting ideas and will
take place through the web, mobile apps, Facebook and social
media, as well as traditional town hall meetings across the
nation over the coming weeks.
Central to America Speaking Out
is an innovative new web forum, AmericaSpeakingOut.com, where
all citizens can submit their ideas for a new agenda, regardless
of party affiliation - and whether we agree with them or not.
Here, all people can share their priorities from every corner of
America and engage in a civil debate about our nation’s
challenges and how to solve them. And in just the first
few days, hundreds of thousands of Americans have already
Going forward, we will focus in
on the priorities of the American people and discuss how our
principles of limited, more accountable government can be used
to address them. Finally, after this conversation and
debate, we will begin to introduce solutions and fight for them
The American people have
committed themselves to playing an active role in their future.
And in return, we will commit to creating an agenda that
reflects their vision for America.
For too long, Americans have
felt their voice doesn’t matter in Washington. But
that’s about to change. We’re ready to listen and
start a real dialogue of ideas. So log on to
AmericaSpeakingOut.com, join the discussion, and make your voice
What Would America's Founding Fathers Do?
The men who threw tea into the Boston Harbor over a tax of 3 pence
per pound would not be happy with a tax ten times greater on
every gallon of gas. Those who took up muskets over a total tax burden
of less than 3% would not be happy with
the fact that the federal government now takes more
than half of everything you earn.
Today it is illegal for public school teachers to teach their
students that the Declaration of Independence is really true (and not
just an outdated historical document). The federal government is
clearly at war with everything the Founding Fathers stood for.
America's greatest Americans would abolish
today's federal government.
Muskets are Not an Option
There are two reasons why we should not take up arms to pull off
the violent overthrow of the federal
government, even if America's Founders would surely do so. First, the
feds have nukes. Second, violent revolution is unChristian and
unBiblical. We must beat our swords into
plowshares and use persuasion to
abolish tyranny. This is time for a
revolution of ideas.
Revolution Won't Come in a Day
John Adams once wrote that the American
Revolution began in 1761, when Massachusetts attorney James Otis
began legal challenges to the Writs
of Assistance. He lost the case, but "American
independence," Adams wrote, "was
then and there born." Now do the math. That means it took 15
years to convince the rest of America to declare Independence
(1776). Then another seven years of war was required before a
Peace Treaty was signed (1783), and then six years before the
Constitution was finally ratified (1789). That's almost 30 years. (And
Jefferson said we shouldn't go 20
years without another rebellion!) How can we hope to convince
Americans to fight for principles they were never taught in government
schools? We need to be in this battle for the long term. "Eternal
Vigilance is the Price of Liberty."
Every great athlete has a coach.
If you want to be a great American you need a coach.
If you want to achieve great things for your country, you need a
Imagine what you could do if George Washington, "the Father of
could travel through time and be your personal coach.
The results could be extraordinary.

the Killer Horse Hormones
The FDA "outlawed" the use of Estriol, an estrogen
medication that's bio-identical to human estrogen. Doctors must

If the government suspects you used your house or car in a

6th, 8th, 9th and 14th Amendments. It also encourages law
enforcement to put profits before justice. Tell Congress to end
civil asset forfeiture.
